Terms of Service

By creating an account or using any part of the MPR Mahjong platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

MPR Mahjong™ operates the Mahjong Performance Rating™ platform, including the website and all associated services. We provide a skill rating system and community events for American Mahjong players.

Provide accurate information when you create your account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything that happens under it. You must be at least 18 to create an account and buy a membership.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or disrupt the community.

Memberships are available monthly or annually, and current pricing is shown when you choose a plan. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

• Memberships renew automatically on the same day each billing period.
• You can cancel any time from your account or by contacting us.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; you keep access until then.
• We may change pricing with 30 days notice to active members.

Membership fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days of the charge at contact@mprmahjong.com and we will review your request. Event tickets are handled by the host club, so ticket refunds are the host’s responsibility.

Event tickets are sold and managed by the host club, not by MPR Mahjong. When an event lists a ticket link, you buy directly from the host, and MPR never processes ticket payments. By attending an event you agree to take part respectfully, and a host or MPR Mahjong may remove any attendee for disruptive or inappropriate behavior.

Because hosts run their own events, scheduling changes, cancellations, and any related refunds are handled by the host of that event.

Your Mahjong Performance Rating is calculated from your game results and the strength of your competition. We may adjust, recalculate, or modify ratings at any time to keep the system accurate. Ratings are a feature of the platform and are not guaranteed to stay unchanged.

Any attempt to manipulate your rating through collusion, intentional losing, or other dishonest means may result in account suspension.

You agree not to use MPR Mahjong to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other members
• Post or share content that is offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate
• Attempt to access other accounts or our systems without authorization
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
• Manipulate, or attempt to manipulate, the MPR rating system

Everything on the MPR Mahjong platform, including the rating system, branding, design, and written content, is owned by MPR Mahjong. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

MPR Mahjong is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will email active members about significant changes. Continuing to use the platform after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Georgia.
